The history of Japanese animation dates back to the earliest days of animation around the world. Seitaro Kitayama was one of the first to play the game, in 1917. However, at the time, animation was mainly used in an anti-American propaganda framework.
After 1945, becoming the second largest producer in the world, the Japanese were strongly influenced by the first: the Americans.
